The Position:
Tenancy Officers provide professional tenancy and property management services to assist our tenants to sustain successful tenancies. They are an integral part of an exciting and growing housing business, creating a stronger community through engagement, collaboration and partnerships.
Excellent customer service skills, the ability to build effective relationships and a positive outlook will be essential to this role. Our Tenancy Officers have strong communication skills and are confident in communicating with a variety of people, including tenants and other service providers. Your day will involve assisting a diverse range of people who may have complex needs and maintaining regular communication including face to face contact with them. Other tasks will include providing all facets of tenancy and property management services, undertaking formal tenancy inspections, gap assessments, data entry, managing tenant rent arrears/debts, and preparation of lease renewal agreements.

To be a successful applicant, you will have:
- Experience and/or qualifications in a property management, community housing or a related area would be highly beneficial
- Experience in positively engaging tenants or customers, service providers and other stakeholders
- Awareness of the sensitivity of the needs of people who are in housing crisis and/or have special needs/disabilities
- Demonstrated experience as a team player working in a ‘hands-on’ autonomous role
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail, high level of administrative skills and a competent user of technology
