The Housing Inclusion Program provides a range of services for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Our aim is to help those close to becoming homeless or those experiencing homelessness to find affordable and appropriate housing by providing a wide range of services tailored to the needs of each individual.
The Position:
We are seeking a Case Manager who is passionate about helping clients from all communities to avoid or overcome homelessness. Having flexible and innovative thinking will enable you to provide personalised support and make a real difference to the lives of your clients.
Using your past experience in working with individuals and families from within the Aboriginal community will empower you to provide a personalised service aimed at producing the best outcome for every client. To achieve culturally sound support within the team you will assist other members by sharing your extensive knowledge and cultural awareness of the issues faced by the Aboriginal Community.
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or related discipline are desirable.
- Experience in providing personalised service to individuals from the Aboriginal community who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Experience in effective case management, advocacy, and referral for Aboriginal people.
- Have an understanding of Aboriginal culture and culturally appropriate intervention models.
You will be required to have the following:
- A current Australian Drivers Licence and access to your own insured, road worthy vehicle. Part of your role may be to transport clients.
- Possession of Australian Residency or a current Australian working VISA.
